The hottest job of the 21st century, Data Science, has seen an exponential rise in popularity over the last few years. Despite COVID, companies are recruiting for the data science role, and for candidates to make it easy to apply for these jobs, in one of our articles, we discussed what data scientists should not include in their resumes.

1| Data Scientist at Siemens
Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for working with large datasets, applying sophisticated analytical methods, developing custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets and interact with multiple partners (from various levels). It will also include carrying optimal findings by exploiting visual displays of sophisticated quantity information, identifying and developing intelligent and innovative data analytics use cases to optimise business processes, among others.
2| Manager- Data Science at Smart Cube
Location: Anywhere in India
Responsibilities: The Data Scientist is expected to have deep knowledge and skills in machine learning, statistical modelling, big data domain, and be responsible for the solution designing and project management for multiple projects or accounts. You will have to design the solution for advanced analytics including big data projects, what technique to use, what tool or technology to use, etc., own the delivery for projects including developing scalable ML models and algorithms and interpreting the output, among others.
3| Data Scientist at ShareChat
Responsibilities: As a Data Scientist at ShareChat, you will be applying expert coding skills to develop scalable product features, applying best practices in big data processing to build feature stores, data pipelines, and model inference services that can deal with massive scale. It also involves adopting deep learning algorithms to exploit best modern parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, GPUs), tune network architectures to efficiently run on low to medium end smartphones and more.
4| Data Scientist at Bottomline Technologies
Responsibilities: You will be required to apply data analytics techniques to a variety of exciting applications for online payments and digital banks, developing software to be used for a range of machine learning and data mining techniques, including predictive modelling, anomaly detection, customer profiling and segmentation, recommendations, text analytics, and big data analytics in solving the business problems. It would also require the candidate to interact with the team of experts in machine learning and data mining, among others
5| Senior Analyst- Data Science at Smart Cube
Location: Anywhere in India.
Responsibilities: The Data Scientist is expected to have deep knowledge and skills in machine learning, statistical modelling, etc., design the solution for advanced analytics projects, discuss various opportunities with existing and potential clients at a technical level, scope out the solution in terms of time, effort, team skills needed independently, among others.
6| Data Analyst at United Airlines
Responsibilities: You will be responsible for executing solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimisation tools, statistical modelling and machine learning techniques. You will have to develop and validate evaluation metrics and models to analyse business performance, identify areas of opportunity, leverage new data. The candidate is further expected to use experimental results to extend analytical frameworks or algorithms, design experiments and analyse results to determine the effectiveness of programs, policies and strategies, among others.
7| Data Scientist at Gauge Data Solutions
Responsibilities: As a Data Scientist, you will have to stay abreast with the latest techniques and algorithms used in data analytics and overseeing their adoption by delivery teams, leading in-house efforts in researching newer and novel analytics methodologies. You will be expected to be actively involved in all stages of solution delivery to the client and have strong experience with at least one of the following; R, Matlab, SAS, SPSS or similar packages.
8| Data Analyst at DMI (Digital Management, LLC.)
Responsibilities: As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for enabling a proper enterprise Data Lake in AWS, regularly engaging with stakeholders to understand and implement business logic. You will be involved in building models and tools to get value out of the massive amounts of data while enabling the best, most personalised and resilient customer experience possible. You will have to apply data mining techniques, do statistical analysis, and build high-quality prediction systems integrated with the product, enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems, and more.
