Adobe is bringing its generative AI web application Firefly AI to Apple’s most ambitious VR headset Vision Pro, alongside the Lightroom photo editing software. This integration enables users to use Firefly on Vision Pro’s visionOS system, allowing them to place AI-generated images in real-world spaces like walls and desks. The interface remains familiar to the web-based version, allowing users to input text descriptions, generate four images, and place them as virtual posters in their homes.
The Firefly AI model for visionOS is focussed on commercial safety by adding a content credential “nutrition label” to images, transparently indicating their AI-generated origin. Additionally, Adobe has teased upcoming features for the visionOS Firefly experience, hinting at the ability to create wrap-around panoramas and 360-degree environments.
The native Adobe Lightroom app for Vision Pro closely resembles the iPad version, featuring a cleaner and simplified interface tailored for easier navigation through hand gestures, distinguishing it from the more feature-laden desktop software.
Firefly offers text prompts in eight Indic languages, namely Gujarati, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Nepali. In a broader context, it facilitates prompts in more than 100 languages, empowering users worldwide to create images and text effects through the independent Firefly web service, utilizing their native languages.
