AI pioneer and the founder of DeepLearning.ai and co-founder of Coursera, Andrew Ng has now announced that he will be teaching a new and updated Machine Learning Specialization course. This course is created jointly by Stanford Online and DeepLearning.ai and is a follow up earlier course on ML specialization by Andrew Ng and will be released in June.
This course would teach foundational AI concepts through an intuitive visual approach before delving into the code needed to implement the algorithms and their underlying math. The curriculum is further divided into three courses – for beginners, advanced learners who haven’t taken the previous course, and advanced learners who have taken the previous course.
The salient features of this course include no prior knowledge of mathematics or rigorous coding; lessons beginning with visual representations of ML concepts, followed by codes (for beginners); it strikes balance between code practice, mathematical theory, and intuition to create effective learning experience; for advanced learners, it includes ungraded code notebooks with code samples and interactive graphs to help with assignments; Graded assignments and lectures to teach in Python instead of Octave; advice section.
Andrew Ng’s ML courses are considered the gold standard in the industry. A testament to this is the testimonies by students around the world who began their careers in ML with these courses.
