Multinational company Dell Technologies has planned to work with 5,000 tech startups in 2022 to support innovative technologies and practical capabilities. The plan is—in collaboration with MeitY, ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India), and AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce in India)—to provide expert consulting and strategic guidance.
The company will engage with various industry bodies such as Startup Hub along with other venture capitalists and angel investors. It is currently working with AMCHAM on creating a platform for startups to get access to American markets. Dell has also collaborated with various state government-run incubators for extended support.
Director and GM, South India and Startups, Dell Technologies, Sudiip Goswami said, “As the startup ecosystem in India is relatively newer, we are studying the market by working with various entities to empower the startups. We will be taking these startups to our own customers, make them our partners and create a go-to market for them.”
The tech giant plans to conduct a ‘Designathon’ to have start-ups design solutions using AI and ML to assist large enterprise customers in the country. Currently working with over 2,000 startups in India, the company—under the MeitY’s Startup Hub programme—provided startups such as Giftolexia, NextSkills 360, and Thinkerbell with business mentorship and technology infrastructure to scale up their operations.
Dell has also collaborated with NASSCOM and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), tailoring solutions for startups that the organisations had been working with.
Dell Technologies, in partnership with NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), has provided various benefits such as a business masterclass, software infrastructure, and hardware.
