Esri Provides ArcGIS Hub Coronavirus Response Template At Zero Cost

Esri is the California-based global market leader in GIS and has built ArcGIS, which combines mapping and analytics to reveal deeper insight into data and thus helping organisations. As global communities and organisations seek to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, Esri too thought of contributing something in this crucial situation.

Due to the ongoing crisis of the pandemic, the company decided to provide ArcGIS Hub Coronavirus Response template for public health agencies and other organisations to jump-start their response to COVID-19.

Esri provides the Disaster Response Program which includes various GIS helps. The disaster in this program includes natural calamities such as earthquakes, hurricanes, wildfires, severe weathers, etc. The COVID-19 resource hub falls under the humanitarian and public health in the Disaster Response program.   

The company will provide ArcGIS Hub Coronavirus Response template at no cost through a complimentary six-month ArcGIS Online subscription with ArcGIS Hub Basic. ArcGIS Hub is a framework to build your own website in order to visualise and analyse the COVID-19 crisis in the context of an organisation’s or community’s population and assets.


The template includes examples, materials, and configurations to rapidly deploy an ArcGIS Hub environment. With the help of this template, you will be able to understand, prepare for as well as respond to COVID-19 in an organisation. 

There are 5 proactive steps to create an instant picture of an organisation’s risk areas and response capacity. They are

  1. Map the cases
  2. Map the spread
  3. Map vulnerable populations
  4. Map your capacity
  5. Communicate with maps

Once you have subscribed to the ArcGIS Online. All you have to do is go to the app launcher, navigate to ArcGIS Hub, click “New Site,” browse the gallery, and activate the Coronavirus Response template.
