The rising demand for skilled workforce across sectors has made it increasingly challenging to hire and retain top talent and, more so, from the top campuses. To address the ongoing ‘talent war’ and attract & upskill campus recruits at speed and scale, in 2022, Genpact launched SkyDive – Global Campus Academy, a 3-month long persona-driven experiential program offering immersive learning at the intersection of the domain, data analytics and professional skills. 

What Makes SkyDive a Distinct Campus-to-Corporate Program?

SkyDive offers a unified platform for our campus recruits to immerse themselves in a culture where great minds, next-gen technology, and astute business acumen intersect to accelerate the Data-Tech-AI-led growth at Genpact.

The program has been designed on a key principle of building hyper-specialized and persona-based talent. It enables the development of critical digital and cognitive capabilities, social and emotional skills, and, most importantly, adaptability and resilience.

The three skill-based Analytics personas include:

1. Data Engineering 
2. BI, Reporting and Data Visualization
3. Advanced Analytics (AI/ML, Stat Modeling)

The Key building blocks of SkyDive are:

1. Back to Basics: Micro-learning nuggets to build foundational skills (starting from MS Excel, SQL, and Statistics) and form a baseline for the topics to be covered during the program. 
2. Expert Masterclasses: In-depth, hands-on persona-driven instructor-led workshops to reinforce the concepts learned during self-learning and an opportunity to get technical queries addressed.
3. Industry Colloquium: A unique opportunity to learn about the latest industry trends from experts within and outside the firm
4. Hands-on integrated labs: Focused time to practice tools and platforms crucial for the business.
5. Ignite-Innovate-Invent: To incubate an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to face the clients confidently, the participants are given a real-life business problem to craft a solution, keeping in mind key parameters like commercial viability, business value, ease of conducting business and more. Towards the end of the program, each cohort (of 5) presents their solution to a panel of SMEs who critique and discuss opportunities to improvise the outcome in a typical shark tank format.     
6. Gravitas: For overall holistic development, the participants undergo intensive personality development to learn how to communicate with confidence, influence, and authority.
7. Campus to Careers: An informal platform to interact with the previous campus hires to get a sneak peek into life at Genpact, career trajectories, and challenges faced. These 30 minutes open forums were eye-opening and inspiring at the same time and invited maximum participation.
8. MentorMe: A 6-month long mentoring & buddy program to help through the onboarding journey and facilitate a smooth transition into the corporate world
9. Joy@Work: To keep the fun element alive, the campus hires conducted innovative and fun activities, including birthday celebrations, dumb charades, quizzes, contests, Friday Fun and more throughout the program.

The SkyDive Class of 2022 comprised 500+ fresh minds from renowned colleges in India and the US, ranging from NIT, BIT, VIT, Indiana University, and Boston University. 

Six batches were held from June to October 2022, comprising campus hires holding B.Tech., MBA degrees and Science, Stats, and Economics graduates.
