Google Cloud has announced the achievement of being a full Cloud Service Provider (CSP) empanelment by successfully completing the STQC (Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification) audit from the MeitY. In a recent blog post by Bikram Singh Bedi, the Managing Director of Google Cloud India, stated that this empanelment would enable the Indian Public Sector to deploy on Google Cloud, including government agencies at the Central and state level, and PSUs across sectors like power, BFSI, transportation, oil & gas, public finance, etc.

Google Cloud has always been on a mission to help enterprises digitally transform to better serve their customers, empower their employees, and build the future for their businesses. Typically businesses depend on Google Cloud to stay connected and get work done, however as the next phase of the commitment to customers in India; the cloud giant is working to deliver on public sector organisations’ needs.

Currently, many of India’s largest organisations trust Google Cloud, including Wipro, Sharechat, TVS ASL, ICICI Prudential, Nobroker.com, Cleartrip and many others. The company is also gearing up to launch its GCP region in Delhi this year, its second cloud region in India after technical infrastructure in Mumbai, established in 2017.
