India saw the launch of Misfit Phase, a Hybrid Smartwatch by Misfit, and would be available to its customers in 6 colourways starting at Rs. 12,550. Misfit Phase is an advanced timepiece that merges the design of an analog watch with the functionality of a smartwatch. Classically inspired but with cutting-edge connectivity, Misfit Phase leverages a sleek and simple design to conceal technology that is uniquely wearable.
It’s the company’s first involvement in watch making despite its acquisition by Fossil last year.
This interesting device by Misfit is the newest addition to its already impressive portfolio of design-forward wearables. Misfit Phase tracks steps, distance, and sleep duration and quality using a 3-axis accelerometer and Misfit’s rigorously validated algorithms.
The face of the watch acts a user interface for notifications and feedback where user can review activity, alarm and notification data using an interplay of the watch hands, a small colour window, and vibration alerts. Texts, calls, app notifications, and movement reminders are discreetly delivered straight to a user’s wrist.
That’s not all, Misfit Phase also works as a remote to connect the world around you such as controlling your music, taking pictures with your phone etc., all with the touch of a button. It automatically updates to reflect current time zone, and, like other Misfit products, features 6-month battery life and 50 meters’ water resistance.
“We’re thrilled to launch Misfit Phase, which employs Misfit’s energy efficient, miniaturized Bluetooth enabled technology in a traditional watch form factor,” said Preston Moxcey, General Manager of Misfit. “Watches are the fashion-credible predecessor of wearable technology, and Misfit Phase showcases both the evolution of the wearable technology space and its convergence with the world of fashion accessories.”
