With a rise in the popularity of the data science domain over the last few years and a growing number of jobs in the market, various candidates are looking to make a career in the field. As a result, there has been a noticeable increase in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes introduced by various public and private institutions in India.

For the last seven years, Analytics India Magazine has curated a list of the top analytics and data science programmes in India. These lists provide insightful data on the programmes to help students get a holistic view of India’s data science education landscape. The Academic Rankings result from detailed surveys and extensive research conducted for various programmes across the country.

We have now opened the nominations for 2021. This year, we have created only one survey form that academic institutes can fill to nominate their data science programmes. These programmes could be at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, full-time or part-time, and on-campus, online or a combination of both.

Check last year’s rankings here.

All the courses will be scored using a uniform evaluation criterion. Upon analysis, Analytics India Magazine will publish two lists of Academic Rankings:

  1. Top undergraduate programmes in India 2021
  2. Top postgraduate programmes in India 2021

The programs will be evaluated on five different parameters: Certification Value, Return on Investment, Program Success, Teaching & Curriculum, and Student Engagement. Questions asked in the survey are based on these parameters and have been formulated after extensive research into what makes a Data Science programme good for candidates.

The ranking outcomes will result from this survey, secondary research, and discussions with the participating institutes. Students can use these rankings to decide which course they want to apply for, depending on their career stage and what they want to learn.

To nominate a programme, please fill the survey form here
