NVIDIA opened submissions for their 22nd annual NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program 2023–2024 for PhD students working in AI, ML and other related fields.
The programme seeks doctoral students in their first year, working in artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomous vehicles, computer graphics, robotics, AI for healthcare, and high performance computing. The programme will also award $50,000 for ground-breaking research.
The recipients will have access to NVIDIA products and mentorship for research purposes. A mandatory internship preceding the Fellowship year is also a part of the program.
Bill Dally, senior VP of research and chief scientist, NVIDIA, said that the fellowship program will help participants build relationships within the industry and also create partnerships between the company and the academic community to solve computing problems.
The proposals and recipients will be evaluated on the basis of several criteria like their academic achievements, professor recommendations, research results and how these are relevant and symbiotic to NVIDIA’s primary research domains including the influence on design, and performance or use of future GPUs.
The Graduate Fellowship Program began in 2002 and has awarded over 185 grants worth more than $5.9 million.
Each year, NVIDIA partners with industry leaders to solve complex computing challenges in the fields of medicine, space exploration, automotive design and film production.
The deadline for submission of the applications is September 9, 2022.
