San Francisco-based observability company New Relic has opened an office in Bengaluru. Asia has become New Relic’s fastest-growing market, and the new office will support software engineers based out of India. The company started making inroads into the country in 2020 and has plans to expand its footprint in the country within the next five years. In a statement released to the public, the company said it was looking to bring more clients in the finance, telecommunication, retail, e-commerce and healthcare sectors.
“India is an important market for New Relic, and our new office further emphasises our long-term commitment to the market and clients. We are on a mission to ensure that the best software and DevOps teams in India rely on New Relic to move faster, make better data-driven decisions, and build amazing software,” said Ben Goodman, Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific and Japan at New Relic.
“We are proud to strengthen our roots in India at a time when the COVID-19 outbreak has pushed organisations to adopt digital transformation agendas faster than ever before. India presents a massive opportunity—both in terms of business growth and harnessing a highly educated technical workforce,” Vidhur Bhagat, general manager of Enterprise Business India at New Relic, added.
In its third-quarter results reported at the beginning of February, the company posted a revenue of USD 204 million as compared to USD 166 million, indicating an increase of 22 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
