Having being funded from Ivy Camp a few months ago, 2015 founded Tyre Express, an enterprise IoT solutions startup, has received a seed funding from angel investor Rohitash Gupta, the CFO of a BSE-listed knowledge process outsourcing company. The amount of funding remains undisclosed at this time.
Founded by Dinesh Wakale, an SP Jain Institute of Management and Research alumnus and Brijesh Shukla, a graduate from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, the Tyre Express startup team is quite hopeful that the funding and the experience that comes along with Rohitash would help them scale up their venture further. Rohitash has been instrumental in scaling up lot of businesses in the tech domain.
As the applications of IoT in real life problems are on a rise, this is an exciting phase for the startups in the space, and Tyre Express is tapping onto the opportunity to the fullest.
Apart from being funded by IvyCap Ventures, which connects the budding entrepreneurs with mentors, investors and incubation centers, the company is supported by Microsoft BizSpark, a program that support software entrepreneurs. Not just that, they have VentureNursery and 10,000 startups, an initiative by NASSCOM in their advisor list.
Tyre Express is currently working on IoT-based solutions for vehicle diagnostics, where it has developed a platform to track and measure the performance of tyres in real-time for fleet operators. Keeping a tab on tyre inventory and performance such as location, temperature, pressure etc. in real time, it enables a fleet operator to have a better control of their tyre inventory and improve operational efficiency.
Also, with an objective to map performance information under different operating conditions, it provides feedback on improving performance, maintenance and product selection.
To improve upon its service offerings, the company is also looking forward to collaborating with tyre manufacturers.
