Top 10 AI-Powered Gadgets From World’s Biggest Tech Show: CES 2020

CES has always been an inclusive platform for hosting newer trends, innovative technologies, and smart home gadgetry. However, CES wouldn’t be complete without the showcase of the most buzzed-about gadgets that are not only innovative but also weird. 

In this article, we list down the top ten whackiest gadgets from CES 2020.

1| Amazfit T-Rex and Bip S 

At CES 2020, popular Chinese wearable giant Huami announced its outdoor smartwatch known as Amazfit T-REX. Amazfit T-REX has an in-built AI health monitor, which comes affordable as well as durable. This smartwatch has passed 12 military-grade certifications, ensuring its robustness and resistance to harsh environments. And, it consists of a new circuit design with an advanced low-power consumption chip, and in-depth power optimisation for longer battery life.

Also at CES 2020, the Chinese wearable company unveiled Amazfit Bip S, which is an advanced version of Amazfit Bip and BipLite. The smartwatch consists os a heart rate monitor which tracks down the heart rate in real-time at the accuracy rate of 98%. 

2| Amazfit PowerBuds and ZenBuds

Huami’s subsidiary Amazfit also announced its smart earbuds at CES 2020 known as PowerBuds and ZenBuds. The Amazfit PowerBuds consists of a heart rate indicator which monitors heart rate while working out. One can set their stipulated heart rate, time and other exercise data warnings to broadcast in the app and thus reducing the risks during exercise, as it provides real-time notifications.

The Amazfit ZenBuds is a smart noise-blocking earbud which almost omits outdoor noises and thus providing the best night’s sleep. It has an intelligent inference which helps a user to sleep by creating the right environment as well as generating calm sounds. The smart sleep monitor function in the buds analyses the sleep quality each night and helps in forming healthy sleeping habits. 

3| Gait Enhancing and Motivating System (GEMS)

This year at CES 2020, Samsung introduced a pair of AR glasses among the exoskeleton known as Gait Enhancing and Motivating System (GEMS). GEMS was unveiled last year by the tech giant where it helped users in correcting their body posture as well as assist them while walking. This time, both the wearables, GEMS and glasses were designed to function as a personal training coach where a user can pick a virtual environment and a motivational trainer to guide through the exercises.  

4| Invisible Keyboard

This time, Samsung introduced a virtual laptop-like keyboard known as SelfieType for mobile phones, tablets, and laptop users. The virtual keyboard uses two key things — a virtual keyboard and a selfie camera. The working principle is such that a SelfieType AI engine analyses finger movements coming from the front camera, and converts them into QWERTY keyboard inputs.

5| LuluPet

At CES 2020, one of the whackiest things announced is the AI-powered smart kitty litter boxes known as LuluPet. This smart litter box is the world’s first litter box which includes built-in urine and stool images to analyse and monitor the health of the cat. Also, symptoms like weight change, and excretory behaviours notify the owner of any abnormal activities in the cat’s health. 

6| Nreal Mixed Reality smart glasses

Chinese startup Nreal announced Nebula at CES 2020, which is a 3D software system. With the help of this 3D software system, a user can transform any environment into a user interface and let users use their Android apps in real space. The company announced the Android-based 3D operating system to be introduced within the mixed reality glasses Nreal Light headset. 

7| Oral-B iO

Oral-B iO toothbrush was also unveiled at this year’s CES event. Oral-B iO is an AI-powered toothbrush, which includes features like smart display with personalised brushing modes, AI tracking through the app, bimodal smart pressure sensor, superior cleaning action, and redesigned brush head along with the linear magnetic drive. 

8| Perso

This year at CES, French personal care company, L’Oréal has also unveiled its AI-powered at-home system known as Perso. This system features a streamlined four-step process including personal skin analysis, environmental assessment, product preference, and custom formulation as dispensing to deliver on-the-spot skincare and cosmetic formulas for optimising increasing levels of personalisation over time.

9| TicPods 2

TicPods 2 is a smart wireless earbud unveiled by Mobvoi at CES 2020. The earbud has an open-fit design and consists of Mobvoi’s in-house voice, motion and touch technologies. The AI features include touch controls, wake-up word, quick commands as well as gesture motion controls.

10| Withings ScanWatch

This year at CES, Withings has unveiled its latest smartwatch known as Scanwatch. Scanwatch is an advanced health wearable device monitors heart rate and delivers heart health notifications in real-time. The smartwatch consists of an exclusive algorithm which analyses a user’s heart rate and classifies the heart rhythm.
