With the option of completing the course in 12-20 months, it consists of 27-units and is designed to fit the schedule of a working professional. The student can choose one of three paths to pursue the course – accelerated, standard, or decelerated – based on their schedule.

With 12 courses between the length of four to eight weeks, the course is completely online consisting of 36 credit hours. The completely online course requires only 33 credit hours and GRE or GMAT scores for admission along with three letters of recommendation.

There are two fields to choose from – Technical or Business Analytics with Technical courses diving into machine learning. MS in Data Analytics from CUNY is now named MS in Data Science and is available online. The admission requires skills in statistics and probability, linear algebra, programming in several languages, and relational databases. There are three bridge courses for R, SQL, and Data Science Maths as well. Students have to appear for a mandatory challenge exam to assess knowledge and skills in these areas along with grades higher than B from the previous university or 2+ years of experience.
