The Berkeley School of Information is offering a Master of Information and Data Science course that doesn’t require GRE scores. With the option of completing the course in 12-20 months, it consists of 27-units and is designed to fit the schedule of a working professional. With an acceptance rate of 39% in the last batch, the Master of Computer Science in Data Science program at University of Illinois does not require a recommendation letter or submission of a GMAT or GRE score. The course requires a bachelors in any discipline with a GPA of 3.2/4.0 or higher. Along with this, submission of TOEFL scores is a requirement.

The 36-hour master’s degree in Data Science at Texas Tech University is a one-year, lock step program. With 12 courses between the length of four to eight weeks, the course is completely online consisting of 36 credit hours. The completely online course requires only 33 credit hours and GRE or GMAT scores for admission along with three letters of recommendation.

The Master of Science in Data Science at Loyola Maryland University is 100% online deliverable with the option of pursuing it part-time. There are two fields to choose from – Technical or Business Analytics with Technical courses diving into machine learning. The online admission process requires a 500-1,000 words essay about the importance of data science along with TOEFL and a professional resume.

MS in Data Analytics from CUNY is now named MS in Data Science and is available online. The admission requires skills in statistics and probability, linear algebra, programming in several languages, and relational databases. There are three bridge courses for R, SQL, and Data Science Maths as well. Students have to appear for a mandatory challenge exam to assess knowledge and skills in these areas along with grades higher than B from the previous university or 2+ years of experience.
