AI-backed software company Unravel Data announced that Microsoft’s Vice President of Data & AI, Zia Mansoor, has joined the company as one of the Board of Directors. Unravel Data CEO Kunal Agarwal said that the appointment reflects the strong relationship between their company and M12, Microsoft’s venture fund, which is their key investor.
Mansoor has 15 years of expertise in leading product and solution development across operational databases, analytics, AI, ML, data governance, and business intelligence solutions. Before taking on his present position as the Worldwide Data and AI Commercial Business Leader, he served as the Vice President of Customer Success for Microsoft Canada, overseeing the largest team of technical experts. In all Microsoft commercial product categories, including Modern Workplace, Azure (app development and infrastructure, data and AI), Business Applications, and Security, Mansoor has assisted countless firms in accelerating their migration to the cloud and realising potential.
Mansoor said he is excited to help drive innovation in its data operations solutions with the help of other advisors. “I have long admired the team, their work, and how they are leveraging AI to meet the growing opportunities for the modern data stack,” said Mansoor.
Mansoor has an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
