Noted audit and professional services giant EY this week announced that they are set to hire over 14,000 new employees in India for their Global Delivery Services centres in the country. With this new force, EY reportedly wants to reinforce their technology and consultancy services delivery network.
Srinivasa Rao, the global vice-chair at EY GDS, told a noted financial daily that the company would be hiring 14,000 people this financial year. He added that GDS is globally seen as the “conduit” for all its outsourcing contracts.
EY is looking to increase its workforce with people who possess skills in emerging tech. This is in response to the sharp demand for innovation-led services from their clients.
Rao added, "We are reaching for higher value talent. The areas we’re looking at are advanced analytics, cybersecurity, automation and machine learning, and (we are) continuing attention around artificial intelligence."
Interestingly, Deloitte and KPMG have also announced their plans to hire 40,000 and 8,000-9,000 people, respectively, to strengthen their India teams.- Three Members Behind Claude Code Leave Anthropic Within 10 Days
