The Revolt RV 400, claimed to be India's first artificial intelligence-enabled bike, is set to be launched across the country come August. The bike also has the advantage of being an electric vehicle, with reportedly swift charging. Reports have suggested that as of 10 July, more than 2,500 units of Revolt RV 400 were booked. Interestingly, the bookings for the AI-enabled motorcycle had opened exclusively for customers in Delhi and Pune on the company website on June 25 and on Amazon on July 5. The bike comes packed with AI-powered features like:
  • Swipe start
  • Geotagging
  • Real-time battery checking
  • Geofencing
The AI connects to the cellphone app provided for both Android and iOS phones. Other features include antitheft, range, total riding hours and real-time diagnostics. When fully charged, the Revolt RV 400 can cover a distance of 156 km. The bike can be fully charged in 4 hours by plugging it directly into a 15-ampere socket. As of now, the bike can be booked on Amazon by paying ₹1,000 as a pre-booking amount.  After the price is revealed — tentatively by the end of July 2019 — one can confirm the booking for RV400 within 7 days. Other players in the electric bikes market like Hero and Ather are already showcasing positive signs with market maturity. For example, Ather Energy says that deliveries of e-scooters has increased five-fold in February-June this year as compared to the same period in 2018. Hero has also spoken positively, saying that corporate players are now interested in e-bikes.
