Krutrim AI Cloud is Free for Everyone Till Diwali

At the Ola Sankalp 2024, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola and Krutrim, announced a lot of developments for Krutrim, focusing on developers. The most interesting one was the announcement that Krutrim Cloud would be free for developers till Diwali this year.

According to the company, since its launch 6 months back, Krutrim Cloud has received around 250 billion API calls and 1 trillion tokens generated. Aggarwal also added that the company aims to build India’s first AI cloud in its own data centres which would be powered by the company’s own chips, the Bodhi chips, slated to be released by 2026.

Aggarwal also showcased how Dashtoon, an early stage startup which is using Krutrim AI Cloud for training and fine-tuning its models. Moreover, Together, another startup is using Ola Maps for enhancing its customer experience.

Starting today, Krutrim Cloud will be available for developers and provide no-code and low-code computing platforms tailored for Indian use cases, along with offerings like GPU-as-a-service, model-as-a-service, with Krutrim H100 tiny for 1/25th of the price on AI pods, which is an abstraction service with GPU slicing for resource efficiency.

The company introduced over 50 new services on Krutrim Cloud, including infrastructure services like virtual machines, cloud storage, data protection security measures, and observability features for accurate data monitoring.

Additionally, Ola unveiled AI pods for affordable GPU access, an AI studio for creating complex AI applications, a model catalogue featuring LLMs and vision models, as well as capabilities for no-code/low-code training, fine-tuning, inference, and model evaluation.

In May, Ola had launched Krutrim AI Cloud, its own cloud platform for enterprises, researchers, and developers. Additionally, the company had also introduced a standalone Android app for its AI assistant, providing state of the art AI computing infrastructure, including Krutrim’s foundational models.
