LTIMindtree, a global technology consulting and digital solutions company, announced Venu Lambu, the current CEO designate, as the CEO and MD of the company with effect from May 31, 2025.

According to the company, Debashis Chatterjee, the outgoing CEO and MD, has opted to retire for personal reasons. LTIMindtree announced the decision at its 29th AGM on May 30.

"As I reflect on my journey with LTIMindtree, I am filled with humility and pride. Leading this organisation from its formative days has been an honour, and I take immense satisfaction in the foundations we've built for future success,” Chatterjee said. “I am confident that, under Venu's capable leadership, LTIMindtree will continue to thrive and reach new milestones."

Chatterjee served as CEO and MD of Mindtree from 2019 until its merger with L&T Infotech in November 2022, after which he led the newly formed LTIMindtree.

Under his leadership, it said, LTIMindtree became India's sixth-largest IT services firm by revenue, effectively integrating the strengths of both legacy organisations to enhance service offerings and drive innovation.

SN Subrahmanyan, chairman, LTIMindtree, said, "It is with deep appreciation that we bid farewell to Mr.Debashis Chatterjee, whose leadership has been instrumental in propelling LTIMindtree to new heights."

LTIMindtree reported positive Q4 FY25 results with modest growth. It saw a 2.6% YoY increase in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of FY25, reaching ₹1,128.5 crore, up from ₹1,100.7 crore last fiscal.

Sequentially, profit rose 3.9% from ₹1,086.7 crore in Q3. The company posted a revenue of ₹9,771.7 crore, reflecting a 1.1% sequential growth and a 9.9% rise year-on-year. However, in dollar terms, revenue declined by 0.7 % to $1.13 billion.

As of March 31, 2025, the company had 741 active clients, a slight decrease from 742 in the previous quarter. The company’s headcount stood at 84,307 at the end of the quarter. The attrition rate stood at 14.4% for the fiscal.

LTIMindtree underwent two major C-suite changes in early 2025. In March, it appointed Nachiket Deshpande, its chief operating officer, as the president of its AI services, following the appointment of Venu Lambu as CEO designate in January.
