Ola Krutrim chief Bhavish Aggarwal has announced it will sponsor cloud services for the top 10 AI startups in India. The selected startups will receive free access to Krutrim AI Cloud GPUs. The initiative is open to all developers in India, with the contest ending Sunday at midnight.
Developers are encouraged to share their innovative AI project ideas in the comments. The top 10 ideas will have their AI cloud needs fully sponsored by Ola Krutrim.
Ola recently introduced Krutrim AI Cloud, migrating its entire database from AWS and Microsoft Azure to its own platform. This move is expected to save Ola INR 15 crore. The Krutrim AI Cloud offers on-demand GPU power, priced in INR instead of USD.
It provides access to state-of-the-art AI computing infrastructure, Krutrim’s foundational models, and other open-source models such as Meta’s Llama 3 and Mistral. This platform will enable developers to run and build LLMs at a fraction of the costs currently offered by other cloud service providers.
Key features include instant GPU deployment, real-time analytics and monitoring, scalable resources, advanced security measures, and a user-friendly interface. Startups can deploy projects with ease, monitor performance metrics in real-time, scale resources as needed, and ensure data security.
With this development, Ola Krutrim will compete with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon Web Services. These platforms have all experienced robust revenue growth in recent quarters, driven by increasing demand from businesses and enterprises of varying sizes.
The company has also announced Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) and GPU-as-a-Service offerings, allowing access to its foundational models and AI compute infrastructure. Additionally, Krutrim has launched multiple APIs and SDKs for location services, including Places API, Tiles API, and Routing APIs.
