Thoughtworks, a global technology consultancy, has appointed Kaushik Sarkar as the regional managing director for Europe, the Middle East, and India (EMEI).

Sarkar will be responsible for driving growth, strengthening client relationships, and enhancing Thoughtworks’ AI-first software delivery and data engineering capabilities across the region. His role will also focus on expanding the company’s go-to-market strategy in key industries such as financial services, automotive, healthcare, life sciences, public sector, and retail.

“The Europe, Middle East, and India region features a complex landscape with varied regulatory environments, cultural nuances, and diverse digital maturity levels. Thoughtworks, with our AI-first, agile, and human-centric approach, is uniquely positioned to help clients navigate this complexity,” said Mike Sutcliff, CEO of Thoughtworks.

Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Sarkar stated, “Our clients rely on us to deliver on their technology and sustainability transformation needs and help close the digital divide, especially in today’s fluctuating economic and regulatory landscape. I’m eager to take on this challenge and leverage our deep expertise in AI-first software and data engineering to help our clients succeed and thrive.”

Prior to joining Thoughtworks, Sarkar served as president of Collabera Digital, a product engineering and technology services firm operating across EMEA and APAC. With over 25 years of experience in global technology consulting, he has held leadership roles at Cognizant, GlobalLogic, IBM, and TCS.
