Mumbai-based Brahma AI, which is building an AI-native operating system for enterprise audio-visual content, has raised $150 million through the issuance of preferred shares, including a $100 million investment from Multiples Alternate Asset Management.

The company has also received a further $100 million in investment pledges.

The funding comes as Brahma AI expands its enterprise AI platform across media and entertainment, sports, healthcare, and advertising. The company counts Warner Bros, the NBA and Mayo Clinic among its global anchor customers, while Google, Hakuhodo, and DNEG are among its strategic distribution partners.

Founded and led by Prabhu Narasimhan, Brahma AI brings together technology and capabilities developed across DNEG, Metaphysic, and Prime Focus Technologies into an AI-native platform designed for large enterprises.

The company has built its platform around enterprise content intelligence and media assessment platform Brahma AI Core and creative production suite Brahma AI Studio. Its technology combines enterprise content intelligence and management with AI capabilities covering visual AI, digital humans, voice, and multilingual performance.

The startup said it will use the capital to support investments in research and development, global market expansion, and talent ,and process development. The company is also working towards new applications, including interactive digital humans.

“What excites me most about this investment is what it allows us to build next,” Founder and CEO Narasimhan said in a statement. “We are close to launching interactive digital humans, we are building Brahma AI to be model agnostic, and we are taking our technology into entirely new use cases.”

He also highlighted security, authenticity, and provenance as key areas of the company's technology roadmap.

The company's technology has received industry recognition, including a 2026 Technology & Engineering Emmy Award.

Renuka Ramnath, Founder, MD and CEO of Multiples, said Brahma AI is targeting the content supply chain through AI-powered content, intelligence, localisation, digital humans, and workflow automation.

“Every enterprise is becoming a content enterprise,” Ramnath said, adding that the investment will support Brahma AI's R&D, global expansion, and talent and process development.

The company's origins also connect it to DNEG. DNEG Founder and CEO Namit Malhotra said Brahma AI emerged from Narasimhan's plan to combine technology stacks developed across DNEG, Metaphysic, and Prime Focus Technologies into an independent company focused on AI.

“Under Prabhu's leadership, Brahma AI has developed its own technology and products, won major global customers and partnerships, and established a clear identity and ambition of its own,” Malhotra said.

The company said it is also developing its platform to be model-agnostic.
