In a flat market launch, Fractal Analytics shares debuted on Monday at a nearly 3% discount from the initial public offering (IPO) price. The stock began trading at ₹876 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), compared to the issue price of ₹900.

Following the listing, the company's market capitalisation was reported at ₹15,476.86 crore. Around 11:30 am, the share price fell further to ₹852.80, a 5.25% decline.

In the grey market before the official listing, the company’s shares were trading at a flat premium.

Fractal Analytics’ IPO was subscribed 2.66 times at the final day of bidding on February 11. The bids were led by qualified institutional buyers, who oversubscribed their portion of the issue by 4.18x. However, only 60% of the employee quota was subscribed.

The company had trimmed the total issue to ₹2,834 crore ahead of the IPO, with a price range of ₹857-900 per share. The company—the first pure-play public AI company from India—had raised ₹1,248.26 crore from anchor investors ahead of the subscription.

According to the company’s red herring prospectus (RHP), Fractal Analytics’ success hinges on its ability to attract and retain skilled personnel. As of September 30, 2025, the company employed 5,722 full-time employees.

The RHP also noted that inaccurate pricing or misjudging the complexity and duration of contracts could lead to cost overruns and reduced profitability, citing an instance in FY24 when it exited a client engagement in the UAE due to scope deviations.

The RHP further noted that over 90% of the company's revenue is denominated in foreign currencies, primarily US dollars, making it vulnerable to exchange-rate fluctuations that could negatively impact its operating results and the value of its equity shares.

It also highlighted the company’s reliance on third-party software, cloud infrastructure, and AI labs, and outlined risks of service interruptions, license terminations, and rising costs that could adversely affect operations.

The company reported a negative operating cash flow of ₹21.4 crore for the six months ended September 30, 2025, and cannot guarantee positive cash flow going forward, which may affect its liquidity and operations, according to the RHP.

Currently, the traded volume stands at 51.10 lakh shares, while the total traded value has reached ₹445.48 crore. Furthermore, the total market capitalisation is ₹14,726.23 crore.

As of 12:07 PM, the shares are valued at ₹863.75, reflecting a decline of ₹36.25 from the issue price, which is a 4.03% drop, according to BSE.
