Genpact has launched Banking Analyst Suite, a new enterprise platform that applies agentic AI to regulated banking operations, with its first module focused on anti-money laundering (AML) alert investigations.

The first module, Genpact Transaction Monitoring Analyst, aims to help banks complete routine AML alert investigations faster while maintaining human oversight and audit trails. According to Genpact, analysts remain responsible for final decisions and the system does not take regulated actions without human approval.

The module is based on Genpact’s experience managing financial crime operations for financial institutions, including reviewing millions of AML alerts each year.

It uses multiple AI agents to perform different stages of an investigation, including analysing customer behaviour, reviewing transactions, validating customer profiles, checking previous alerts, and recommending the next course of action.

Unlike systems that only prioritise or score alerts, Genpact said the platform completes the first-level investigation workflow and produces a recommendation supported by documented reasoning and an audit trail for analysts to review.

According to the company, the platform can reduce handling time for in-scope AML investigations by up to 80% and lower total cost of ownership by up to 40%. The system intends to improve consistency in investigations by documenting the rationale behind every recommendation.

“What sets Genpact Transaction Monitoring Analyst apart is the operating expertise behind the AI,” Satish Acharya, Service Line Leader, Financial Crime and Risk Management at Genpact, said in a statement.

“We have run financial crime programmes for some of the world's largest financial institutions, and we have built that knowledge into how these AI agents investigate. This solution helps analysts shift time from repetitive alert work to the higher-risk cases where human judgment matters most,” he added.

Genpact plans to expand Banking Analyst Suite beyond transaction monitoring to other regulated banking functions, including customer due diligence, sanctions screening, fraud investigations, customer service, and other risk management workflows.

The suite is also designed to support governance, data isolation, information security, and system integration requirements for regulated environments.

The company added that Banking Analyst Suite will run natively alongside its riskCanvas financial crime platform for customers already using the software.

Australia and New Zealand-based financial services company AMP Limited is among the first organisations to deploy Genpact’s Transaction Monitoring Analyst.
