Global technology company InMobi has acquired MobileAction, an AI-powered platform specialising in iOS app growth and App Store Optimisation (ASO). The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
InMobi expects the acquisition to strengthen its advertising capabilities in helping brands reach new app users across the iOS ecosystem, both through organic growth and AI-powered optimisation.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, MobileAction offers AI-driven app analytics, with expertise in Apple Ads and ASO, and counts Google, Meta, DoorDash, Square, Zalando, Playtika, and Priceline among its global clientele.
The platform's data assets encompass over 90 million creatives, 6 million keywords, 5 million apps, 100,000 publishers, and 500,000 advertisers.
For InMobi, the deal extends the company's full-stack advantage, pairing its agentic commerce consumer platform, Glance, with a global advertising offering now further enhanced by MobileAction's specialised iOS expertise, it noted in a statement.
Rohit Dosi, Vice President and General Manager at InMobi, described the rationale behind the move. "As the advertising ecosystem shifts toward AI-led intelligence and platform-native expertise, marketers need partners who can deliver both scale and precision. MobileAction's AI-powered platform and leadership in helping marketers drive growth for their apps make this a highly strategic addition to InMobi Advertising. Together, we're better positioned to help marketers and brands drive sustainable, intelligent growth in an agentic world," he said.
"Joining InMobi marks an exciting next chapter for MobileAction. I look forward to partnering with Rohit, and I am confident our shared vision for the future of agentic AI-driven advertising—spanning innovation, data-driven decision-making, and customer impact—will allow us to accelerate our roadmap and deliver even greater value to marketers worldwide," MobileAction's Founder and CEO Aykut Karaalioglu added.
Following the close of the transaction, MobileAction will continue to operate as a dedicated platform. Its teams across the United States, Europe, and Turkey will join the InMobi Group. InMobi has indicated plans to invest further in MobileAction's product development and global go-to-market efforts. Key focus markets are the US, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and North Africa.
