Conversational AI platform Jio Haptik has launched SOLO, a platform designed to give solopreneurs and small businesses access to tools for marketing, sales, and customer support. The company has set a target of reaching 2 million entrepreneurs across India within three years.

SOLO is targeting micro, small and medium enterprises and intends to handle content creation, customer engagement, lead generation, sales, and support for them.

Ahshad Jussawala, CEO of Jio Haptik, said larger businesses have historically had dedicated teams for marketing, sales, and customer support, while smaller businesses have had to manage with fewer resources. "We believe accessible AI and AI teams can change that equation at scale," he said in a statement.

The platform operates through two components: Tara, which handles marketing tasks, and Ved, which manages sales and support. According to the company, the system works independently rather than only in response to individual prompts, while giving business owners a review and approval step before content or messages are sent to customers.

Jio Haptik developed SOLO using inputs from several solopreneurs together with data from Interakt, a customer engagement company whose user base includes more than 100,000 small and medium businesses. The company said more than 10,000 businesses have signed up during an early access period.

Saumil Shah, Chief Technology Officer at Jio Haptik, said the company aims to build systems capable of taking on tasks rather than only functioning as agents responding to instructions. "We've combined autonomous planning, execution, and continuous learning into an AI business team designed specifically for entrepreneurs," he noted.

Shah said Tara and Ved are built to interpret business context, coordinate across departments, and work towards defined outcomes, adding that he expects this approach to change how businesses operate over the next decade.

To use the platform, business owners have to connect a website or Instagram account or upload an image of a product. The system then generates marketing plans, content, images and video, places advertising, and responds to customer messages on WhatsApp, following up with leads.

SOLO is available on Android and iOS. The platform offers a free tier, with paid plans starting at ₹2,000 per month.
