Enterprise-focused Yellow.ai has launched Nexus EDGE, an agentic AI desktop application to automate employee IT, human resources (HR), and operations support.
The application is designed to identify and resolve workplace issues directly on employees' computers using company knowledge and enterprise systems.
"For a decade, employee help tools have competed on how fast they can answer a question," Raghu Ravintula, Co-founder and CEO of Yellow.ai, said in a statement. "But employees were never asking for answers. They were asking to get on with their day."
Nexus EDGE extends Yellow.ai’s Nexus Universal Agentic Interface to employees' desktops. It is designed to address common problems, such as VPN failures, software installation issues, and difficulties accessing enterprise applications.
Nexus EDGE combines a cloud-based reasoning system, called Nexus Agent, with a local agent installed on employees' computers. The cloud agent uses company knowledge bases, standard operating procedures, and backend enterprise applications to identify solutions. The desktop agent examines the screen and application state and executes the required fixes locally, according to Yellow.ai.
Nexus EDGE supports 114 enterprise tools across 18 categories from deployment, according to the company's product documentation. These include IT service management, identity management, and workplace applications such as ServiceNow, Jira, Okta, Slack, and Microsoft 365.
The system requires employees to approve actions before execution. Yellow.ai said the application operates within the signed-in user's existing permissions and maintains an audit trail of actions across IT, HR, and operations. The company also describes its architecture as designed to keep sensitive data on the employee's device.
The company expects the application to reduce support tickets and return multiple hours per employee annually to productive work. However, it has not disclosed independently verified performance results or quantified reductions in support tickets.
"Nexus changed how enterprises handle customer conversations. Nexus EDGE does the same thing for the people inside the enterprise," said Rashid Khan, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Yellow.ai.
Yellow.ai said its enterprise AI platform serves more than 650 customers across the US, the Middle East, India, Asia-Pacific, and South America. The launch expands its agentic AI offerings into desktop-based employee experience automation.
