Over the years, Analytics India Magazine’s annual rankings of data science & analytics programmes in India have helped thousands of aspiring students and working professionals to select the best institutes to learn or upskill themselves and enter the world of data science. The rankings compare the leading training institutes and courses across their core offerings.
We put in a lot of efforts behind these rankings:
- A detailed survey is curated by internal discussion and taking inputs from industry experts
- All the institutes in the country are then reached to fill in the information
- Follow-ups are made on missing and incorrect data
- Random checks on data are made
- The survey is processed, and the detailed ranking is then curated
With this year’s ranking, we have broadened our scope of publishing these rankings to a more robust repository of information about various programmes in data science and analytics. This ranking on online analytics and data science programmes in India consists of courses that are exclusively (100%) online. The ranking has been done across various parameters such as pedagogy, faculty profile and credentials, gender diversity, faculty to student ratio, graduation outcome, external relations, placement assistance, ROI, brand value and student review.
Starting this year, we are also publicly releasing our ranking methodology and survey data received from all the institutes. This is our effort to make these rankings transparent & unbiased.
While we have tried to do a random check on the data submitted, the ranking has largely assumed that institutes have submitted correct & accurate information. There are many other courses that are not listed in this ranking. This ranking only lists courses that have participated in the survey by submitting the data.

In terms of graduation outcomes, it has good scores in criteria such as module-level assessments, programme-level assessments and the total number of mandatory capstone projects to be completed.
The course has one of the best ROI and brand values amongst all other online courses listed here as it offers the best ratio of programme fees against average CTC of the students. It also leads in terms of student reviews.
