Association Of Data Scientists Launches Computer Vision Developer Conference 2020

The Association of Data Scientists (ADaSci), a premier global professional body of data science and machine learning professionals announces the launch of its fully virtual, online conference for computer vision enthusiasts across the globe.

Computer Vision DEVCON or CVDC 2020, a two-day conference aims to bring computer vision practitioners and innovators on a single platform to share and discuss recent developments in the field. Computer vision has become one of the most advancing technologies in the world currently. Apart from fueling the developments in the area of computer vision-integrated ADAS systems for autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles, computer vision has witnessed a newfound application in the COVID-19 situation by detecting violations and ensuring social distancing.

Despite computer vision being such a specific subarea of artificial intelligence & machine learning, the volume of problems derived from this approach is very extensive. CVDC plans to uncover those approaches and bring out the latest research and advancements in this field. It will be hosted virtually on 13-14 August 2020

This influential conference will see participation from some of the leading professionals and researchers in the field who are pushing the boundaries of this interesting area and leading us by examples.

We are expecting a line-up of more than 40 global speakers, 500+ attendees and participation from more than 200 organisations from around the world, in this 2-day conference which will have 2 parallel tracks on both days.

The first day of the conference will feature a full-day hands-on workshop on the developments and use cases of computer vision. The workshop will provide an overview of computer vision as a broad topic for participants to get started. On completion of the workshop, a certificate of participation will be given to all the attendees.

The second day will feature a full-day hackathon on computer vision. One of the best things about the hackathon is that learning from the workshop on the first day will be applied in the hackathon for participants to create a quick portfolio.

Some of the other highlights of CVDC 2020

  • The summit will feature interesting talks, paper presentations and exhibitions
  • It will allow networking with fellow attendees
  • Meeting the leading AI and computer vision companies virtually
  • Interacting with global speakers

Just like our in-person conferences, CVDC 2020 will bring the best-in-class experience with renowned speakers and most thought-provoking sessions. Since the conference is virtual, it also allows you to experience the world-class conference from the comfort of your home.

CVDC is brought to you by ADaSci which provides opportunities such as networking with professional peers, recognising and rewarding talent in machine learning and data science, professional development through continuing education, identifying opportunities and more.
