Atlassian Corporation, the Australia-based provider of team collaboration and productivity software, has unveiled Atlassian Intelligence, a generative AI feature in its cloud software suite developed in collaboration with OpenAI. The platform announced at its annual flagship conference, Team ’23, is integrated into the company’s cloud products and serves as an AI virtual teammate for team collaboration.

One of the key features of Atlassian Intelligence is its integration with Jira Service Management (JSM), where it provides instant help to support teams, reducing repetitive requests. Additionally, it offers natural language support for accessing institutional knowledge and policies in Confluence, generating insights through Atlassian Analytics, and leveraging Jira Query Language (JQL) to find issues across all Jira products. The latest release can also summarize and extract information from content, generate new content using natural language prompts, and create a bespoke glossary, dictionary, and knowledge graph from company data.

Sherif Mansour, head of product AI at Atlassian, stated, “With AI technology advancing rapidly, we’re excited to share how we’re bringing its power and magic to the full family of Atlassian Cloud products through Atlassian Intelligence that can unleash the potential of every team. With more than 20 years of data on how millions of software, IT, and business teams plan, track, and deliver work, Atlassian Intelligence has a unique understanding of teamwork.”

Team ’23, Atlassian’s annual conference, has gathered esteemed speakers such as director James Cameron and CNN host Van Jones, alongside Atlassian’s Co-Founders and Co-CEOs Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, to discuss various topics including Agile & DevOps, ITSM, Open Work Management, and Teamwork Culture. Overall, Atlassian Intelligence represents a significant advancement in team collaboration and productivity through the use of AI, further solidifying Atlassian’s position in the industry.
