India’s largest grain commerce platform Arya.ag has acquired Prakshep, a Bengaluru-based agricultural data science company, for an undisclosed amount.
Arya.ag connects sellers and buyers of agri produce, providing complete assurance on quantity, quality and payments. With over 10,000 commodity storage points across the country, the Noida-based startup provides year-round supply to SME and corporate buyers with embedded financing options.
“Prakshep’s tech-led proposition finds a natural fit as it enables a digital identity for every grain that traverses the value chain and builds in transparency in terms of where it was grown and the journey it has made,” said Prasanna Rao, co-founder, Arya.ag.
The acquisition will strengthen Arya’s relationships with other stakeholders in the agri value chain like farmers producer organization (FPOs), processors and corporates, banks and insurance companies.
“Through this partnership, we will be able to provide our users many more new offerings based on data, scientific research, and analytics, creating trust and transparency in all our transactions,” said Avijeet Singh, CEO, Prakshep.
