Management consulting firm McKinsey has acquired S4G Consulting, a Salesforce Platinum cloud consulting partner. S4G Consulting is based out of Madrid, Spain, and will mark a deeper collaboration with McKinsey. S4G specialises in helping companies integrate and leverage Salesforce’s CRM (Customer Relationship Management) capabilities. The partnership will focus on accelerating end-to-end growth transformation for businesses with AI-powered services at the centre. Details of the transaction have not been revealed.
“With the acquisition of S4G, we are helping our clients deepen their customer relationships by putting predictive and prescriptive insights and recommendations at their fingertips so they can swiftly take action,” says Jan-Christoph Köstring, a McKinsey senior partner and global co-leader of their Sales & Channel Management Practice.
Senior partner and global co-leader in the same division, Steve Reis, said that S4G and McKinsey were a natural fit because of their shared belief that strategy and value was a priority and technology was the enabler.
In a statement released to the press, S4G CEO Javier Heitz stated, “We are a people-driven, client-obsessed company. We create meaningful, long-term relationships and our teams rally to do whatever it takes to drive client success. It’s not a one-off transaction. When McKinsey first approached us, the first slide in their deck was about this client-centric value. That stood out to me.”
McKinsey has become increasingly focused on upskilling their employees in various roles of AI/ML techniques and applications. In December last year, they announced a plan to train 500 of their leaders, data experts, product managers and engineers to become more fluent in AI.
