Micromax Forays Into Smart Mobility With India’s First AI-Enabled Motorcycle


On 18th June 2019, Revolt Intellicorp, founded by Micromax's co-founder Rahul Sharma, unveiled the much-awaited RV 400, India’s first AI- enabled motorcycle at an event in New Delhi. The company has revealed that it has completed the ARAI homologation process for RV 400 and the bike has also received an ARAI-certified range of 156km with a fully charged battery.



According to the company, this AI-enabled bike will be manufactured at Revolt’s production facility in Manesar, Haryana that is spread across 1 lakh sq. Ft, and has an annual production capacity of 1.2 lakh units. Further, RV-400 will be available at Rs. 1000 for pre-bookings in Delhi on June 25 on its website and Amazon and will be followed by NCR, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Chennai in the next 4 months.

In terms of specs, the bike the Revolt RV 400 seems to be leading by a decent margin. The bike’s AI technology helps in improving battery performance as per the riding style. That is not all, the AI also keeps a count of the real-time battery consumption, range, distance travelled, time taken, and more. Further, the bike can also be connected to the owner's smartphone that can also be used to start the bike. Revolt has also added that the top speed has been capped at 85kmph.

Speaking about the better and charging, Revolt Intellicorp will have a connected eco-system across the city wherein riders can swap their battery at Revolt mobile swap stations, which will be dynamic stations within the coverage grid of New Delhi. Riders can also charge the battery in less than 4 hours at the comfort of their home or office by simply plugging into any 15-ampere socket, as the battery is portable and can be removed very easily from the bike and replaced back after charge.
