The graph data platform, Neo4j, announced the onboarding of Alyson Welch as its first chief revenue officer. Welch previously led sales in companies like Twilio, Zignal Labs, and Akamai.
Emil Eifrem, CEO and co-founder of Neo4j, said, “Alyson’s track record leading sales organizations for success from $100M to more than $1 billion in revenue comes to us at a time when graph technology is starting to reshape the database market and drive advanced analytics and AI/ML models and pipelines for better business outcomes.”
Neo4j, founded in 2007, delivers real-time transaction processing, advanced AI/ML, intuitive data visualisation, and more. Their rich set of clients include Comcast, ICIJ, NASA, UBS, and Volvo Cars. In June 2022, the company raised about $325 million in a Series F funding round led by Eurazeo, being one of the largest investments in a private database company.

The company said it would use these funds in hopes to increase its services, sales and support, tap into new markets, and invest in the right strategies. Neo4j had started hiring in sales leadership and country manager roles from 2021 onwards, and was expecting to continue the momentum to 2022 and beyond.
