40Under40 Data Scientists Awards is the annual initiative from Analytics India Magazine to recognise and appreciate the leading data scientists in India who have successfully transformed data into meaningful insights. The award honours India’s young Data Scientists and leaders who are advancing analytics in their organisations, possess strong industry and analytics expertise and are bridging the insights gap for customers by tackling their most challenging problems.
Why it matters
This renowned award honours India’s top minds in the field of data science and recognises their achievements. These young scientists are the driving force behind India’s Data Science field, and their vision is influencing the country’s analytics landscape. Moreover, the award recognises and distinguishes data scientists as true innovators and achievers in the analytics sector, separating them from the pack. Our team of editors and industry veterans thoroughly analyse, carefully review and select nominees.
The 2022 nominations for the 40Under40 Awards are open. One can file the nomination here. The nominations are open till November end.
The awards are a token of recognition for dynamic leaders in the data science domain who are driving the pace of data-driven decision making across enterprises and enabling growth. These skilled professionals deploy their capabilities to analyse data, develop algorithms, predict future outcomes and provide tangible business impact. Simply put, the 40Under40 awards celebrate their contributions towards creating a data-native culture.
The winners will be recognised at the annual Machine Learning Developers Summit 2022.
Who can submit nominations
The nominations for 40Under40 can be submitted by:
- Head of Analytics
- Internal or external PR representatives
After being reviewed by our editors, each application would be evaluated by a jury comprising of industry experts, academicians, business heads and Chief Analytics Officer (CAO).
Criteria for the nominees
For the 40Under40 award, nominees should be:
- Currently serving as a Data Scientist and have at least 5 years of experience.
- Along with significant career accomplishments, the individual inducted into the awards would have delivered substantial business impact, technology vision and inspirational leadership.
- They would have demonstrated expertise in building new business models based on data assets, significantly advanced the data scientist role, created a positive influence on the analytics ecosystem in India and contributed to the growth of the analytics industry in India.
Meet the 2021 Winners
MLDS 2021 — the three-day largest-ever virtual event for machine learning developers was hosted from 11-13 February 2021. The event saw useful workshops, tech talks, paper presentations, networking, and the show’s highlight — 40Under40 Data Scientists awards.
