XLRI (Xavier School of Management), a Jharkhand-based business school, has announced the launch of an Executive Development Programme on HR Analytics. The programme will be led by Prof. Gloryson R B Chalil, a fellow from IIM Bangalore who has led various HR departments in sectors like agriculture, manufacturing and IT and has been involved in multiple consulting assignments with government and corporate sectors.
Considering data has been vital for all industries, XLRI also believes that it should also benefit “the world of Human Resource Management.” According to the official release, “this program from XLRI has been designed to introduce participants to the concepts of HR Analytics and familiarise them with different dimensions like descriptive analytics, predictive analytics and prescriptive analytics.”
The course intends to help participants become proficient in —
- Descriptive HR Analytics: Developing and modifying various HR metrics, including proprietary metrics relevant to the organisation.
- Predictive HR Analytics: Making predictions about various people management decisions based on existing data or newly developed proprietary metrics.
- Prescriptive HR Analytics: Making suggestions for future people management decisions based on the analytics and ensuring optimum use of investments in human assets.
With this course, candidates will be able to work on real-time projects based on the needs identified within their organisation. The programme will enable individuals to make better people management decisions in everyday work scenarios. Further candidates will also gain exposure to SPSS Statistics software through in-class illustrations.
The programme is also offering XLRI faculty-mentored analytic projects for a limited number of candidates. It also offers the candidate the flexibility to choose from various analytical packages such as SAS, Stata, R, MPlus, and MS Excel with Add-ons etc. The course can be taken anytime from anywhere without any complicated hardware or software installations. Upon completing the course, participants will earn a Certificate of Completion from XLRI, as per the official release. Check the demonstration here.
The course has been specifically designed for senior HR professionals, learning and leadership development professionals, HR executives and non HR professionals. Working professionals can also schedule their classes at convenient timings.
As per the website, the programme majorly focuses on analytics rather than statistics, and anyone without a statistics/mathematics background is encouraged to apply.
