Tredence will host the 4th edition of its AI Foundry in Kolkata for the first time on August 8, bringing together developers, architects, data scientists, and AI practitioners for a hands-on workshop focused on designing and building production-ready AI solutions.
The event, scheduled from 10 am to 5 pm, is expected to attract participants with expertise spanning data science, machine learning engineering, cloud architecture, platform engineering, GenAI development, prompt engineering, and AI product development. Participants will work in multidisciplinary teams to tackle real-world business problems using generative and agentic AI technologies.
Date: August 8, 2026

More than a conference or a discussion-heavy gathering, it is a well-organised workshop developed by Tredence and AIM. It is aimed at individuals already engaged in building AI systems and navigating deployment challenges.
Participants will be organised into small groups and given real-world problem statements to tackle. The emphasis will be on creating systems that operate in enterprise settings, rather than merely demonstrating models.
Unlike traditional conferences or hackathons, the AI Foundry is designed as a collaborative solutioning forum where AI builders can co-create practical, scalable systems that address enterprise requirements. Through a series of design-thinking workshops, attendees will explore how AI-powered applications can move beyond proof-of-concept stages and be deployed in real-world environments.
The sessions will be conducted using Rapid, Tredence’s proprietary AI platform. Participants will design end-to-end user journeys, identify human-in-the-loop decision points, build high-level solution blueprints, and develop deployment architectures to support enterprise-scale AI applications.
The workshops will also focus on critical considerations surrounding AI adoption, including governance, explainability, transparency, trust, security, and scalability. As organisations increasingly invest in generative AI initiatives, ensuring that AI systems are reliable and production-ready has become a growing priority for technology leaders.
According to Tredence, the AI Foundry aims to help practitioners understand how generative and agentic AI are reshaping workflows, decision-making processes, and system orchestration across industries.
The event will conclude with teams presenting prototypes developed during the workshop sessions, followed by closing remarks from Soumendra Mohanty, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at Tredence.
This edition marks the latest in the AI Foundry series as Tredence continues its efforts to build a community of AI practitioners focused on developing intelligent, trusted, and enterprise-ready AI solutions.
With the Kolkata addition, Tredence is advancing its efforts to expand the AI Foundry in key technology hubs. The company also has plans to apply this model across all IT hubs in India.
Don’t miss this chance to enhance your AI skills and engage with industry experts.
