Delta Electronics India unveiled its next-generation manufacturing technologies at SEMICON India 2025, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. The company presented collaborative robots or cobots, a digital twin platform, an innovative screwdriving system, semiconductor assembly solutions and an integrated smart manufacturing architecture.

“Semiconductor factories are coming up in India, and the country will see its first domestically made chip in the market by the end of 2025. Work is also progressing rapidly on developing a ‘Made in India’ 6G network,” the PM said.

Delta Aligns with ISM

Benjamin Lin, president at Delta Electronics India, said, “India is at the cusp of a semiconductor and electronics revolution, and Delta is proud to contribute to this transformation with future-ready technologies. By combining our deep global expertise with local innovation, we aim to empower manufacturers with secure and intelligent solutions.”

The company’s cobots, with payloads ranging from six to 30 kg, offer safety features such as instant stoppage on contact and AI-enabled interaction. Its DIATwin Virtual Machine Development Platform reduces new product development time by 20% through simulation with real production data.

Focus on Sustainable Manufacturing

Delta also highlighted energy management solutions, facility monitoring systems and its adoption of SEMI E187 cybersecurity certification to enhance reliability in semiconductor equipment.

Niranjan Nayak, managing director at the company, said a strong digital and sustainable backbone will drive India’s journey to becoming a global semiconductor powerhouse. “Through investments in robotics, digital twins and green technologies, we are ensuring that India’s manufacturing ecosystem is competitive and resilient.”

This development comes just after the Taiwanese company launched its D-Bot Series cobots and new products for the smart manufacturing market in India at ELECRAMA 2025, in February this year.

The robots were announced to be tailored for smart factory automation and have advanced safety mechanisms. The cobots enhanced efficiency in electronics assembly, packaging, materials handling and welding.
