Archaeologists in India have recovered artefacts that date back to the Harappan Civilization. The site is located in village Kunabacll in Fatehabad district of Haryana. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) are collaborating on this project to inspect the excavation that’s being carried out at the site in Haryana's Fatehabad district. The organizations aim to verify claims of the site being the oldest civilization in the world. So far, the Harappan Civilization was considered the oldest civilization, which flourished about 3,500 years ago. Ram Bilas Sharma, Archaeology and Museums Minister, Haryana states, “The recovery of artefacts, estimated to be 6,000 years old, strongly indicated that the civilization that had flourished in Kunal was in fact the oldest civilization in the world.” According to Sharma, NASA and ISRO are likely to wrap up the project by October, this year. Besides spherical structures, the artifacts recovered included ornaments and pots too. With this, the Haryana government plans to establish international-level museums at Kunal and Rakhigarhi.
