Anthropic said its annualised revenue run rate crossed $30 billion in 2026, a dramatic increase from about $9 billion at the end of 2025. The number of customers spending more than $1 million annually has increased to over 1,000, compared with more than 500 disclosed in February.
The company has essentially surpassed OpenAI’s annual revenue run rate, which is roughly around $25 billion.
This comes after Anthropic raised $30 billion in a Series G funding round in February, valuing the company at about $380 billion post-money. According to Bloomberg, the company is targeting an IPO as early as 2026, though the plans remain exploratory.
Meanwhile, Anthropic has signed a new agreement with Google and Broadcom to secure multiple gigawatts of next-generation TPU capacity, expected to come online starting in 2027, the company said.
The additional compute will support its Claude models and rising enterprise demand.
“This groundbreaking partnership with Google and Broadcom is a continuation of our disciplined approach to scaling infrastructure: we are building the capacity necessary to serve the exponential growth we have seen in our customer base while also enabling Claude to define the frontier of AI development,” said Krishna Rao, CFO of Anthropic.
Most of the new infrastructure will be located in the United States, expanding Anthropic’s earlier commitment to invest $50 billion in US computing infrastructure announced in November 2025.
The deal extends Anthropic’s existing collaboration with Google Cloud and its work with Broadcom on AI hardware. The company said it uses multiple chip platforms, including Amazon Web Services Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs, to optimise workloads.
It added that Amazon remains its primary cloud and training partner through Project Rainier. Its Claude models are available across Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
