Cognizant has partnered with Palantir Technologies to accelerate AI-led modernisation across healthcare and enterprise operations, integrating Palantir’s Foundry and AI platform into Cognizant’s TriZetto healthcare stack and broader business process services.
The companies said the collaboration will focus first on embedding AI into Cognizant’s TriZetto platforms and BPaaS operations, targeting high value workflows in regulated and labor intensive environments such as healthcare administration.
The goal is to make AI deployment secure, governed, and repeatable at scale while improving operational efficiency for clients.
Cognizant will use Palantir Foundry and AIP to strengthen AI capabilities inside its healthcare business, while both firms will jointly pursue transformation programs across other industries.
The partnership is positioned as part of Cognizant’s strategy to move from being only a services integrator to an AI builder with purpose built, enterprise grade solutions.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to using frontier technologies to deliver value for our clients, while also transforming our own businesses for the next era of AI-led growth,” Surya Gummadi, President, Americas at Cognizant said.
Under the agreement, the companies will explore how AIP can optimise processes across claims, administration, and other complex healthcare workflows.
Cognizant said this will help speed up product development cycles, create a governed data foundation, and support compliance and auditability requirements that are critical in healthcare and other regulated sectors.
From Palantir’s side, the focus is on embedding AI directly into operational systems rather than running pilots disconnected from day to day work.
“Enterprise AI doesn’t fail because models are weak. It fails when AI lacks a shared, governed understanding of how the business actually operates,” said Eric Lakin, US Commercial Lead at Palantir. He said bringing AIP into TriZetto will connect AI to core workflows and drive transformation from the ground up.
Palantir brings experience deploying AI and analytics platforms in mission critical settings, while Cognizant contributes domain knowledge in healthcare and large scale delivery. Beyond healthcare, both companies plan to extend the partnership to enterprise modernisation programs across industries.
The deal follows a series of AI focused investments and alliances by Cognizant including the most recent partnership with Cognition, to deploy Devin, its AI software engineer for enterprise operations.
