IT services company Cyient has established a new Intelligent Engineering Solutions (IES) business unit and launched CYiNGINE, its engineering intelligence platform.

The unit will apply AI across engineering, service, and quality and regulatory workflows, spanning product design through operations. CYiNGINE will serve as the platform connecting Cyient's industrial data, engineering expertise, and AI capabilities.

In engineering, the company said the unit will help speed up design and change cycles, improve first-time-right rates, and increase the reuse of engineering intellectual property.

For service operations, the focus will be on improving asset availability and reducing unplanned outages through AI-assisted diagnostics, predictive maintenance and automated service knowledge.

In quality and regulatory work, Cyient said the unit will support faster certification and compliance through continuous, audit-ready traceability, which could also reduce rework and regulatory risk.

“We are not pursuing AI for the sake of AI—we are pursuing tangible business outcomes for our customers. That means rethinking how AI comes into the core engineering disciplines and how it is adopted in the way our customers design, manufacture, and service their products,” Sukamal Banerjee, Executive Director and CEO, Cyient, said in a statement.

Harjott Atrii, Chief Business Officer, Cyient, will lead the new unit.

Atrii said CYiNGINE will bring engineering expertise, industrial data, and existing customer relationships together, with the new unit focused on faster engineering cycles, higher asset availability, and faster regulatory clearance.

Cyient has more than 300 customers and 15,000 associates across more than 30 countries.
