Dell Technologies’ AI Factory with NVIDIA has partnered with NxtGen AI to build what it calls India’s “first and largest dedicated AI factory”. The collaboration is aimed at supporting national-scale AI development.
Under the deployment, Dell will provide core AI infrastructure to NxtGen, including liquid-cooled Dell PowerEdge XE9685L servers delivered through Dell Integrated Rack Scalable Systems. The new AI cluster will support large-scale generative AI, agentic AI, physical AI and high-performance computing for enterprises, start-ups, academic institutions and government programs.
The AI factory will be built around a cluster of more than 4,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, along with NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPUs and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. The setup will also include Dell PowerEdge R670 servers and Dell PowerScale F710 storage to support training and inference workloads.
According to Dell, the deployment is intended to expand NxtGen’s AI-as-a-service offerings and GPU capacity across India, while supporting the country’s broader AI mission.
“India’s rapid AI growth demands strong, reliable, and future-ready infrastructure,” said Manish Gupta, president and managing director, India, Dell Technologies. “Dell Technologies is addressing this need through the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, designed to simplify and scale AI deployments across industries. Our collaboration with NxtGen brings these capabilities closer to Indian enterprises.”
NxtGen said the project represents a milestone for sovereign AI infrastructure in the country.
“This deployment marks a significant milestone for the country: India’s largest AI model-training cluster, built and operated entirely within India’s sovereign cloud framework,” said AS Rajgopal, managing director and chief executive officer, NxtGen.
NVIDIA said the infrastructure will support India’s AI development goals by providing accelerated computing resources for model and application development.
Dell said its AI Factory with NVIDIA combines infrastructure, software and services into a full-stack platform, enabling organisations to deploy and scale AI workloads across data centre and edge environments. The company added that the collaboration reinforces its focus on providing scalable and sovereign AI infrastructure for the Indian market.
