San Jose-headquartered Tsecond.ai, an edge AI and data infrastructure company with a significant presence in Nagpur, has raised over $21.5 million in funding led by MSN Holdings, the family office of Manish Nuwal, who serves as the managing director and chief executive officer of Solar Industries India.
The funding has been arranged through several rounds over the past two years, according to the company.
As per the announcement, the company will use the capital to deploy Tsecond.ai's primary capabilities in edge AI and data infrastructure, with a focus on expanding systems for defence and mission-critical applications.
It will also further advance its BRYCK platform, a portable edge data storage and computing device, enhancing its ability to capture, store, and process substantial amounts of data in real time without cloud connectivity, particularly in remote or contested settings.
“The security environment is more complex and more demanding than at any point in recent decades. Nations are investing heavily in the capabilities that will matter in that environment, and edge compute infrastructure is the linchpin for operating in a contested battlefield. Tsecond.ai is building a foundational piece of that stack,” Nuwal said in a statement.
He added that their investment in Tsecond.ai is based on its strong growth and market traction, which supports some of the largest transformation programs in defence across the US, the UK, India, and Europe.
The investment will also support wider deployment across active defence programmes in multiple regions, helping integrate these systems into real-world operations where rapid, on-site decision-making is essential.
With the BRYCK platform, the company claims to combine high-speed data capture with on-device AI processing in rugged systems that can operate in what are described as remote, disconnected, and austere environments.
“As defence and national security missions generate more data at the edge, the need for high-performance infrastructure that enables real-time processing, storage, and AI-driven decision-making has never been greater. Tsecond BRYCK platform was built for exactly that reality,” the company said in a LinkedIn post.
