Google has expanded its more affordable Google AI Plus plan to all markets where its AI subscriptions are offered, including India.
The plan is now available locally and offers expanded access to advanced AI tools, including Gemini 3 Pro, multimedia creation features like Nano Banana Pro and Flow, research support with NotebookLM, 200 GB cloud storage, and family sharing. It is priced at ₹399 per month, with an introductory offer of ₹199 per month for the first six months.
The expansion adds 35 new countries and territories, following earlier rollouts across dozens of markets that began with Indonesia last September.
Google said existing Google One Premium 2TB subscribers will automatically gain access to AI Plus benefits over the coming days.
Initially targeted at emerging markets, AI Plus is positioned as the first step beyond free access to Gemini and other AI tools, aimed at users who either do not need or cannot afford the more expensive Google AI Pro plan, typically priced at $20 per month.
When the plan was first introduced, Google said it was designed to provide affordable access to Gemini, Veo, and other creative AI tools in emerging markets, while also competing with OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go plan, which is priced at $8 per month in the US.
Sitting between the free AI tier and premium offerings such as AI Pro or AI Ultra, Google AI Plus aims to widen adoption by offering more advanced capabilities at a more accessible price point.
