HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, will acquire Croatia-based robotic process automation (RPA) company Robotiq.ai for an enterprise value of €9 million (~₹98 crore), adding RPA capabilities to its HCL UnO Agentic orchestration and automation platform.
The acquisition will allow HCL UnO Agentic to automate tasks in enterprise applications where application programming interfaces (APIs) are unavailable or insufficient, HCLSoftware said. The transaction is expected to close in November 2026.
Based in Zagreb, Robotiq.ai provides an enterprise RPA platform used in large banks, insurance groups, and telecom providers. The company said the platform includes ISO-certified security, audit logs, and flexible deployment options.
“Enterprises are looking beyond AI experimentation toward production-scale automation that is secure, governed and reliable,” Kalyan Kumar, President, HCLSoftware, said in a statement.
Agentic automation is also increasingly combining AI agents with software robots and human oversight across enterprise processes.
Video conferencing platform Zoom has also been expanding its agentic AI platform towards workflow execution. In March, it added capabilities for custom AI agents to retrieve information, automate tasks, and orchestrate workflows across third-party systems including Salesforce, Slack, and ServiceNow. Zoom's platform expansion followed a similar move towards workflow orchestration.
The acquisition also comes as HCLTech has expanded its generative AI work. Earlier this year, it expanded its collaboration with Gemini Enterprise and Gemini models to build custom AI agents.
