IBM and Yotta Data Services have launched the Sovereign Agentic AI Platform for Indian organisations, combining IBM’s enterprise AI capabilities with Yotta’s sovereign AI cloud infrastructure.

Built using IBM watsonx Orchestrate and deployed on Yotta’s Shakti Cloud, the platform is designed to help organisations deploy, run, and govern AI agents at scale while keeping data, inference, operations, and governance controls within India. It brings together AI-agent orchestration, GPU infrastructure, model development, and inference capabilities, with the platform available through Yotta’s Panvel and Greater Noida cloud regions.

IBM watsonx Orchestrate acts as an agentic control plane for securing, governing, and managing AI agents, while Shakti Cloud provides the compute, GPU infrastructure, networking, security, and operational capabilities required for enterprise AI workloads.

“With regulations evolving in India, digital sovereignty and open-source models are becoming a defining requirement for organisations as they scale AI from pilots to production. The priority is no longer just what AI can do, but how securely, transparently and compliantly it can be deployed,” Sandip Patel, Managing Director, IBM India and South Asia, said in a statement.

IBM and Yotta said the offering combines Yotta’s sovereign AI infrastructure with IBM’s enterprise AI and agentic AI capabilities.

“India’s AI journey requires organisations to have control not only over their data, but also over the infrastructure, compute, models, inference, and operations that power AI. Yotta’s Shakti Cloud and Shakti Studio provide this sovereign AI foundation, while IBM brings its enterprise AI and agentic AI capabilities to help organisations move from experimentation to production,” added Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, MD and CEO, Yotta Data Services.

Organisations can use the platform across workflows including security operations, document processing, and HR automation, among others.
