India’s largest job portal, Naukri, has launched a new AI-powered recruitment platform to make hiring faster and more efficient for both recruiters and job seekers.
The company unveiled a suite of AI-driven hiring products, led by AI REX, an autonomous talent-sourcing platform that automates key stages of recruitment, from understanding job requirements to identifying suitable candidates.
Unlike traditional recruitment tools that rely mainly on keyword searches, AI REX analyses job descriptions, candidate skills, and professional experience to recommend matches. The platform is designed to reduce manual work for recruiters by automatically sourcing, screening, and shortlisting candidates.
According to Naukri, organisations using AI REX can reduce talent sourcing timelines, allowing hiring teams to focus more on evaluating candidates rather than manually filtering resumes.
Beyond talent sourcing, the company has also introduced AI-assisted search, intelligent candidate recommendations, and automated shortlisting features. These tools are designed to simplify recruitment workflows while improving hiring accuracy.
The new platform also aims to improve the experience for job seekers. AI-powered recommendations can suggest roles that better match a candidate’s skills, experience and career goals, helping users discover more relevant opportunities rather than relying solely on manual searches.
The launch comes at a time when demand for AI talent continues to grow across India.
According to the company’s latest JobSpeak Report, hiring for AI roles in the IT sector grew 16% year-on-year in June, even though overall IT hiring declined by 3% during the same period. Across industries, demand for professionals with AI and machine learning skills increased by 25%, reflecting the broader adoption of AI across business functions.
As companies increasingly use AI to streamline operations, recruitment is also emerging as a major area for automation.
