Financial services company Razorpay has launched its first AI-native Agent Studio for payments, introducing a new layer of AI agents designed to automate and manage financial operations for businesses in real-time.
The announcement was made at the company’s flagship event FTX’2026 in Bengaluru, which brought together more than 70 speakers from global technology and financial companies, including NVIDIA, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and OpenAI.
Alongside Agent Studio, the company also introduced the Razorpay Agentic Experience Platform, an AI-powered system that simplifies how businesses onboard, integrate payment infrastructure, and manage financial workflows through natural language interactions.
According to the company, the Agent Studio is built on Anthropic’s Claude Agent SDK and serves as a marketplace and builder platform for businesses to deploy AI agents to manage specific commerce tasks. These agents can help recover abandoned carts, respond to payment disputes, recover failed subscription payments, and forecast cash flows to identify liquidity gaps.
The system also allows companies to build custom agents without coding. Businesses can describe tasks in plain English and connect them to platforms such as Shopify, WhatsApp, Slack, Tally, or QuickBooks, enabling agents to act automatically, based on business rules and contextual data.
Speaking at the event, Harshil Mathur, Co-founder and CEO of Razorpay, said the company is moving beyond traditional payment processing to intelligent financial infrastructure.
“Businesses don’t just need more software anymore—they need intelligence that can act. With the launch of the world’s first Agent Studio for payments, we’re enabling companies to deploy AI agents that can understand and monitor their revenue flows, resolve payment issues, and unlock insights across billions of transactions in real time,” he said.
He added that the goal is to allow companies to focus on growth while financial operations become increasingly automated. “I believe this is the beginning of a new operating layer for businesses, where intelligent agents work alongside teams to make financial operations faster, smarter, and more autonomous.”
Commenting on the collaboration, Irina Ghose, Managing Director, Anthropic India, said, "The partnership highlights the practical applications of AI in commerce. Razorpay’s work with Claude shows how AI agents can address real commerce challenges—recovering revenue, resolving disputes, and predicting cash flow,” she said.
Earlier this year, Razorpay partnered with Gnani.ai to launch an agentic AI collections platform capable of completing payment transactions during live customer calls. The platform integrates Gnani.ai’s enterprise voice AI system, which processes over 10 million calls daily, with Razorpay’s Model Context Protocol server.
