Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has partnered with OpenAI to explore how ChatGPT can be used in everyday life and share his experiences with the AI chatbot.
“I’m excited to announce my partnership with OpenAI. We have some interesting things coming up, and I can’t wait to share them with you,” Tendulkar said in a post on X.
Tendulkar said he has used ChatGPT for both curiosity-driven questions and practical tasks. He cited planning his last family trip as one example.
Under the partnership, Tendulkar is expected to showcase how he uses ChatGPT and encourage people to try the tool for their own interests and tasks.
The partnership is reportedly a multi-year collaboration to increase the use of AI in everyday activities in India.
It comes as OpenAI expands its presence in India. In February, the company said India had more than 100 million weekly ChatGPT users and announced its OpenAI for India initiative.
The programme includes partnerships around AI infrastructure, enterprise adoption, education, and workforce skills. OpenAI also plans to open offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru, in addition to its existing presence in New Delhi.
OpenAI has also expanded its association with Indian cricket. Earlier this month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced ChatGPT as an Associate Partner for India’s home cricket season for two seasons, running through March 2028.
Tendulkar has previously used generative AI publicly. In March 2025, he shared AI-generated images inspired by Studio Ghibli’s visual style during the trend that spread across India.
